What is Animal Physiotherapy?

The main purpose of physiotherapy is to try and aid or restore the normal bodily functions relating to mobility, independence, performance and purpose. Rehabilitation can be anything from skeletal and muscular injury to enhancing mobility and sporting performance.

Animal physiotherapy is rapidly contributing to both surgical and medical conditions. This relationship aims to support you in protecting, understanding, healing and maintaining your pets quality of life and wellbeing to the highest of standards.

Physiotherapy treatments involve a wide range of techniques which may include massage, trigger point release, electrotherapies and therapeutic exercises to create a bespoke treatment as individual as they are.

How can physiotherapy help?

Prevention

In these appointments your pet doesn't have to have a specific problem. This is an assessment of your pets health and a discussion of how we may use preventable treatment/exercise to prevent injury and delay age related pain. Through assessment and treatments such as massage we can help detect any developing problems not currently causing symptoms.
